The Certification Program in Neuroacupuncture

In the West, where acupuncture itself is considered a "specialty" by the medical mainstream, a full certification course in a legitimate specialty within acupuncture is a truly rare opportunity. It is a well-known statistic that specialist practices have longer waiting lists and receive far more referrals than general practitioners.

Medical professionals as well as the general public have small means by which they can distinguish what one acupuncturist can provide compared to another. Having a specialty allows acupuncturists to develop expertise in a specific area, to excel at what they treat, to rise above their peers and stand out in the public eye. They have more presence in their community because people can more easily understand and associate the specialist with specific health conditions. Now, for the first time anywhere, a full certification course in the emerging specialty of Neuroacupuncture is being offered to acupuncturists.

The specialty of Neuroacupuncture excels at treating all manner of neuological conditions. Among the most commonly seen in clinic are:

  • Stroke
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Paralysis
  • PTSD
  • Autism
  • Aphasia
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Phantom Pain

The Comprehensive Training in Neuroacupuncture Program (CTNP) was launched in June 2017 with the intention of reaching more people in need of treatment by training as many licensed Acupuncturists as possible.  Through the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute, a non-profit organization, the CTNP curriculum brings together a multitude of experts, whose knowledge, when coupled with the expertise of Drs.Jason and Linda Hao, lay the ground work for a unique learning experience.  The Hao’s have spent a lifetime expanding their education, practice, and cultivating relationships with other medical professionals to achieve life-changing outcomes for patients.

Learning the art and skill of Neuroacupuncture to the degree Practitioners can achieve the remarkable outcomes like the Hao’s, requires dedication and commitment. It goes beyond patient treatment.  To achieve the best results, Practitioners must hone their skills, practice-practice-practice, continue their education, expand their knowledge, and embody what they offer through mindful practice of self-care.
